Making KeyBars: Metals & Materials We Use TweetSharePinShareWhatsAppRedditEmail0 Shares There Are Various Materials Used For Our Key Organizers At KeyBar, we make our product out of various materials for not just for aesthetics, but also for enforcing features as reduced weight or durability. Not only are some materials visually pleasing – they can be polished, anodized, sandblasted or cerakoted to create a unique graphic or design. Here, we often use more unique or extremely limited metals/materials for limited edition KeyBars; however, for this blog, we will discuss some of the standard metals and materials used for our standard KeyBar models. Aluminum Aluminum is the most standard metal we use to create KeyBars varying from our standard Aluminum KeyBar to cerakoted and custom laser-engraved models. Being that aluminum is a standard lightweight but durable metal, it is the perfect material to ensure a heavy-duty entry model at an affordable price. One of the most popular aluminum items we sell is our Anodized Aluminum KeyBar line. As explained by Star Rapid in their aluminum anodizing article, anodizing is the process of changing the surface chemistry of metals and other substrates. This allows us to offer aluminum KeyBars in different colors such as black, blue, red, etc. This is perfect for people who want to have a color theme for their everyday carry. For most high-end aluminum models, we use cerakoting for custom designs or graphics. Titanium Titanium is another common and popular metal we use for various high-end KeyBars. While titanium is slightly heavier than aluminum, it provides a significant amount of durability. Titanium is also less time straining to anodize than aluminum, which is one of the many reasons why we mainly use titanium for various custom KeyBars. We also do milled designs on titanium such as our newest Half Carved KeyBar, which decreases the weight of titanium KeyBars. Carbon Fiber Carbon Fiber is a popular material we use to create ultra-lightweight KeyBars. While we offer a durable, Full Carbon Fiber KeyBar model, we commonly use carbon fiber for front plates to the KeyBar. These can then be paired with a backplate made of metals such as titanium or aluminum. Not only does this create a cool, sleek KeyBar – but helps with weight and durability. For example, having custom titanium back might be slightly heavier than an aluminum piece, but it provides more durability to compensate for the carbon fiber front. KeyBar Quality Guaranteed Our goal at KeyBar is to create not only an extremely durable key organizer that is built to last for your keys, but give you the ability to completely customize your KeyBar for your needs. By using the materials we do, we can create some very unique custom KeyBars and most importantly: create the KeyBar made just for you. Every day, we are working on creating a better-improved product and stand strongly by using durable metals and materials for KeyBar parts and accessories. This is why I chose KeyBar over other key organizers. The handle materials are sturdier. And with soo many material options, finishes and with the wide array of inserts makes for more flexibility when it comes to personalization. Log in to Reply
